It is interesting to watch Venus and Jupiter come closer and closer every evening.

Venus and Jupiter appear as the two brightest stars in the West after sunset; Venus is the brigher one. They should be visible shortly after sunset, until one and a half or two hours after sunset.

According to Das Himmelsjahr, Venus and Jupiter will pass each other on 2. September, at a distance of 1.4 degrees.
Difference in opinions hath cost many millions of lives: for instance, whether flesh be bread, or bread be flesh; whether whistling be a vice or a virtue; whether it be better to kiss a post, or throw it into the fire... (from Gulliver's Travels)
