Well, if you are choosing a development tool and VFP is never mentioned as a choice by the company that produces VFP, why would you bother to look at VFP? Sure, by investigating all the available tools, a company has a better chance at finding the "best" tool for the job, but there is a cost factor here. It takes time/money to research every tool. You have to draw the line somewhere and why not draw it at what products are being suggested as the best tool for the job? We all take our advice from someone and some companies take their advice from MS.
