This reminds me of an Episode of "Cheers". Woody wanted to have a pay-raise. He went to see Rebecca who tricked him. "Pfeww I thought you wanted a new title. You only want money. No problem. Then Woody came back after having changed his mind. He told her that he preferred a new title instead."

Some people react pretty well to titles. I guess that as long as you're poor you mich as well have a nice title. 'Cause nobody said you had to say how much you earn when you mention your title.
