>Victor,
>There are two more factors. First, the maximum screen resolution. Second, your eyes. My 15.4 inch Dell has a max of 2046x1536. Most 17 inch notebooks have a lower max res. But I must admit that I don't use that max. res., because the details are just too small for me. This is even true on my 19 inch lcd screen.
>But when I'm advising 15.4 inch, it's because it is widescreen. And I think that a developer can take advantage of that feature. Is 17 inch widescreen?

Yes, the 17" one that I have is widescreen. I agree 100% that it's the maximum resolution that I'm more interested in. Mine doesn't go as high as 2046x1536 though - I think it does if you use an external monitor - but not nativly on the built in 17" one. That's one thing I've always liked about the higher-end dell machines - awsome screen resolution!
