I'm in the process of automatizing an office and I need for my app to send and receive faxes. These are my questions:

FAXING
1) I would like to implement a fax server. Basically my app creates fax records and I throw those records over to a fax server. I would like to receive back from the server a status(success, failed,etc) for each fax that is sent so I can record it in the database.
- What tools/software do you guys recommend to do this?

2) Incoming faxes. This gets more tricky. Basically there will be about 6 people receiving faxes and some faxes are just faxes that they need to look at and others are faxes that need to be stored in a database. I guess I can have a central repository of faxes that get routed to each user as a fax image or maybe each machine gets the fax directly?
- What type of setup/software do you guys recommend to do this?
- Is it better to store the image in the database or store the directory where the image is located?
