If you are talking about frameworks in general, there was a series of reviews of frameworks in the mag "FoxTalk" 3 or so years ago. MM came out very well.

Another source is the first chapter in Kenneth Chazotte's "Build Your Own Framework ..." that discusses the 'why use a framework?' questions.
