The best solution is a hardware faxserver. Castelle makes a SBE for small offices that runs on a TCP/IP or Netware network. It has addons for Exchange server so that the faxes can be routed as emails. There is an SDK that is applicable to VFP. You can also access it as a printer driver. It has phone books, auditing, archiveing all native. Without addons I believe that it runs about $1500. It has been a rock solid solution for me for several years.
