>>Jack,
>>
>>First of all, I should make it clear that we do not develop in VFP alone. We also use MS Access and VB. And yes, we even use COBOL and PL/1 to help resolve the Y2K probelms.
>>
>>The point I am making is that 3 years ago, Microsoft said that VFP is an important part of their toolset. They also said at the DevCon in Phoenix that they would:
>>
>>a. educate the other product managers about the benefits and features of VFp
>>b. market the product more.
>>
>>Except for one video tape produced for that DevCon, I have not seen them live up to that promise. Their product managers, specifically the Visual Studio team, still do not give VFP the equal billing it deserves.
>>
>>It is the developer community that is expected to market VFP.

>I suggest you visit www.microsoft.com/vfoxpro. There are product positioning papers, an additional video, etc. Also, look at ANY Visual Studio ad. VFP is there. These are things I've said before....Robert Green's job is two-fold: 1) Educate inside Microsoft 2) Educate outside Microsoft. He is making progress on both fronts. He isn't done, but he is making progress.

You are the best spokesperson for VFP that I have read. Couldn't hurt to work for MS and get those stock options...
