Since no one's answered you all day, I thought I'd give it a shot, although I'm not really sure what's going on.
What do you mean when you say the "path is directed to c:\program files" ?
I think you should be able to just copy everything (your exe and all .dlls, including the one for steepvalley) into one folder and run from there. Is that not what you did?
