>We have used SQL pass-through with some success in VFP 5.0a, and are about to start a major project with the same techniques. In particular, we want to execute on the server a number of stored procedures written in TRANSACT-SQL with paramaters passed from VFP. Is there any substantial change in VFP 6.0 which would make this approach unwise or sub-optimal?
Nothing's been changed in the SQLPassthrough engine. SQL Passthrough continues
to be the fastest way to access SQL server with VFP and code will run
just hte same as it does in 5.0.
I'm running several apps that are using only SQL passthrough running in 6.0
without any problems.
