Not if you have a reference to the "OFFICIAL VFP BLOG" in your blog. You could then add you opinions about VFP in that official blog.

A blog should produce an RSS file, which is an XML file of the content. When an update is made to the blog, the RSS file is updated. Your RSS reader goes out to the subscribed blogs and looks for an updated RSS file. If there is one, it downloads it and notifies you of new content. You only have to look in your RSS reader to read what's new.

Still there could be lots of repeating information.

The thing is that perhaps one day this blog could have something important to say. Then I'll want to read that. With an official blog no redundancy.

You get my point when I say an OFFICIAL VFP blog. I meant our official VFP blog ;-)
