Hi David,

>My confusion has been stirred by VFP's 'protected' in light of 'hidden'. Hidden or private properties and methods are normally used for internal processing inside the class where they are introduced. On the other hand, protected are used for the whole class lineage. This means that I should have access to protected members at all levels of the class hierarchy. I have found this to not be true in VFP the way I expect it to be. I expect that if I place a class on a form and override any of the functions of that instance, I should be able to access all of the protected members in the whole lineage from within that overridden method. My experience is that this is not true.

It's semantics rather than technical. :)
