Yes you neeed to use the NODATA option on your use command so the view does try to get data until you have your parameters set up. I would still us the two views and open them both. The us eof two views let's you use these same iews in other forms which have other requirements without carryig a lot of extra data baggage around with you all the time. You only need to use those views that are needed.
