Well that would still be close - you could charge the car once you got to work.
As for the average american stats:
80% of trips are less than 20 miles
38% of trips are with just one person
27 miles the average someone drives in one day

...and 30 miles is the average charge for this car.

Since I'm single and have no kids (or none that I know about anyway..haha) its more like 90% of my trips are just one person. And I could make it to the office AND back on one charge too.
When Corbin was making the car - they sold them brand new for $14,000. Its not exactly cheap but considering you will NEVER...EVER have to stop at a gas station...seems reasonable to me.
Plus I remember seeing 'hacks' for these cars that would let them run close to 70 miles per charge too.
I figure if I want to go on vacation out of town & drive...then I can rent a car. Besides I like the idea of having something that's 'green friendly' - quite, zero emissions, doesn't kill the economy by up-ing demand for oil...etc.

>>>But not yet very far, and not yet very fast. So far they seem pretty much just city cars. You can't really drive them on vacation, or even out of town for a picnic. They'll be great when they're more practical, but right now most people who buy them also have to have another car.
