Normally there is no problem to add a table to a database. the other way round (removing a table from a DBC) is more problematic as You loose several tableproperties like Long Fieldnames, Primary Keys, triggers, etc.

But to be on the safe side, make a backup of Your C:\Application\data directory. Sometimes forms' Dataenvironments behave weird.
