Because they weren't shot, raped, killed, sodomized, or had their identities stolen. If they would've been offered a ride AND one or more of the above, then, my friend, the networks and newspapers would've made sure that the entire world knew about it. Oh, and before you take the "national security" angle, it's too soon to tell whether any of the 100,000 had any al-qaeda ties.
