>Well, I've decided to get a bunch of cops and go to New Orleans. I just started putting this together today and already have about 10 guys on board. I'm going to be taking a mobile satellite system and 10 computers and setup a mobile comm system so people will be able to contact relatives for free. I'm going to try to raise funds for using skype, I think. (If anyone has a better solution, let me know). We hope to have at least 50 current or retired officers going and we'll work through FEMA and the Red Cross. We're taking water, food and toiletries, and also the comm system. I will be doing some webcasting from there too so once it is setup I'll post the url for the site. It's going to cost me a weeks vacation and some personal expenses, but I think it's worth that. I have only seen skype on the web sites and it appears to be a good solution for what I plan to do. I'd appreciate any input from those who have used it.
