One more idea... PushOK software has an SCC client for CVS and SubVersion. The CVS version works pretty well, which makes me thing that the subversion version, should work, too. With this client you can use the VFP IDE for checking in and out files including checking out files exclusively. If all developers on your team use the IDE, you can prevent that two developers work on the same file at the same time.
