My users need to export an XLS. I use PutFile () so they can specify where the XLS is exported. I use ADIR to verify that the folder the user chooses is not read only before I let the user do an export.

The users tell me they have been exporting happily for several months (the same EXE has been in production since March). All of a sudden every folder on the network and the user's hard drive return an R as the 1st character in the 5th element of the ADIR array. The folders are not marked read only (the users have no trouble saving files to the various folders using Word). Any idea what could have changed in my user's environment to break ADIR?

I created a small test EXE with only the PutFile () and ADIR. It shows no R on my systems or at another client site with a network.

We are running VFP 8 SP 1.
