Do you only have this file no DB? I dont think you can restore this, the log will just hold details of the changes. If you have an older version of the DB and they are running in Full Reovery mode then you could potentially update the older version of the DB with the changes in the log.

It may be possible but it may take you longer than just requesting a complete backup!
