Read Sergey's post :) I found some good information just by Googling. Your DVD player's (recorder's) operating manual should state whether it accepts DVD-R/DVD-RW or DVD+R/DVD+RW (or they even have discs that are DVD±R/DVD±RW)

I found one site that stated neither format would "win" they would both be availabe in the future.
