I guess you do have the right to think that way, and I am sure I won't change your mind-set about this with my comments, but here's my point.

I have to admit that I feel a bit dissappointed to see that you minimize the drug addiction problem he is into, in ways of thinking that, first he did all sort of stupid things and, and on a different thread, he abused drugs, when the truth is that because he was abusing drugs so badly, he ended up doing all kinds of stupid things.

Not sure either if you are aware that drug abuse led him to other health problems, mental problems like anxiety and panic attacks, for what he needed medication which he ignored, then, what can you expect from a man in a scene like this? He just needed help because his life didn't belong to him anymore.

By the way, have you heard about his amazing recent makeover?
