Hi Cecil,
I understand you will not be at SW Fox, this year, I was looking forward to seeing you again. Anyway... I have had a similar challenge, to interface a handheld CE device with VFP. I use Visual CE from Syware. Check out
www.syware.com. The progamming language is fairly sophisticated and, if you keep your interface simple, pretty easy to learn. They have an OBDC driver for VFP.
You can download a trial version and try it out. They sell it in several versions starting at about $30. I bought th personal version for about $100.
HTH,
Ken
>I have a little challenge that I need to take care of here at this manufacturing plant. We are thinking about obtaining RF Hand-Held Laser Scanners which read bar codes of items we ship and load on trucks.

>Currently, the shippers will scan a complete load then come back to the "Blue Shack" at one of the doors of our plant where they download their scanned items to the PC through a scanner cradle which handles comunication. All of this is currently in Dr. DOS on the Scanners and DOS software (Data Harvester) on the PC which has Windows 95; yes, it's very old technology but it still works. I cannot upgrade the PC to Windows XP, because the DOS software would cease to work.
