:)
Hi Bill,
>>>I'm also looking forward to the presentation. Any quick points that I could use to win over anyone who might need nudging to attend? We know that you will compare Object Orientation in VFP with Dot Net. You said that this is one of your favorite presentations.
yeah, the reason why this is one of my favorite presentation is because:
1. OOP is my favorite subject.
2. Coming from a VFP background into the .NET world, knowing OOP has been what helped me getting up to speed in .NET more quickly.
3. Understanding OOP in .NET has made me write much better code in VFP.
4. From the attendee's point of view, it's always fun to listen to a guy speaking with a funny accent, right? :)
These are some things that come to my mind right away. I've presented session on this topic at least a dozen times over the last 2 to 3 years, and here are some of the feedback I've got from attendees:
"Outstanding session. It helps tremendoulsy in my coming up to speed on .NET"
"Great session, not enough time for the subject, but that's always the case when something is interesting."
"Humorous, easy to understand, interesting."
"Good examples and good knowledge of the material with a good manner of imparting it to the attendees"
