Those 'many' europeans regularly irritate me a lot. I have to conclude that 'many' europeans are currently (that is, as long as Bush is in power) anti-american, and I think that it is arrogancy and too much self-esteem that drives them. Obviously, your opinion about those many europeans is more positive than mine.

In certain aspects I think the US is far ahead, for example in the way they deal with discriminination. Yes, that may sound odd, but they have had the battles in the sixties that we may soon gonna get.
