It's legal to accelerate to the speed limit within the first 2 blocks of the light turning green. To put it another way, you may accelerate from 0 to the speed limit in less than 4 minutes. ;)

170 horses isn't much, but its enough to get me to the speed limit in reasonable amount of time, I think 0-60mph (100 kmh for you metric nerds) in less then 10 seconds. Not bad for a economical car yeh? :)
