>When my old Colt was totalled, the rental car I was given was a Corolla, so I know there's nothing wrong with the car itself. But apparently there is something that happens to drivers once they've been behind the wheel of a Corolla for a while. Just stay aware, and as soon as you begin to find yourself wondering if acceleration might actually be illegal, step back and get help. ;)
Hey, I drive a Corolla (Canadian, BTW). And I'm usually the first one out when the light goes green.
Not that I'm a sporty driver with a lead foot. It's just that all those SUVs and trucks with automatic shifts (or with drivers who don't know jack about manual shift) are taking their time to react. They make it up later, when I reach the allowed speed for the given street - they usually tend to drive faster then.
