I beg to differ. I have bought 2 new cars in the past 13 years and I don't think I've ever hated anything more than that. Never got rained on with so much BS in such a short period of time as in those two occasions.

After the first one we thought we had learnt our lesson and approached the second adventure with more caution, but it was still useless. Car dealers are always a step ahead of trust and common sense.

After the second "adventure" I found a web site with details on the kind of stories you're likely to hear from the sales-person ("person" is not what really comes to mind), and we were able to recognize how they tried to play us.

In my case, it might be a personality issue. I just don't get along AT ALL with the type of people that work in a car dealership. No chemistry whatsoever. I'm an engineer, yet, I'd rather read about the latest make-up products from Clarins, MAC, or Dior in Cosmopolitan than read about torque and horse-power in an automotive rag. BTW, those MAC girls used to be Hot! ;-)
