Quite often they have to make the choice between hardware and software. If they can hire someone to write software that will run on the hardware they have, or they can spend their money on hardware that will prolly be WAY to underpowered by the time they get the money together for programming, which way do you think they will go? Hardware will ALWAYS need upgrading.

Like the analogy someone gave me...."Why pay for a Lamborghini (sp?) when a Chevy will suit my purposes quite well?"
