The MySQL text column should always map to the VFP memo. If it doesn't than it's a problem with MySQL ODBC driver? What version of MySQL ODBC are you using?

The string, however, shows up as simply characters (400? 256? I didn't count...) in the browse window. I tried changing the MySQL field to a VARCHAR(400) type; the browse window then displayed a 'Gen(eral)' type field. When I double clicked on it, I got an error message saying that the OLE file was either invalid or corrupted.
