He is a fairly well respected politician in Canada. He was the Premiere of the Province of New Brunswick for 10 years. He's pretty outspoken, but I don't think he just shoots off his mouth. He seems to think about what he's saying. I haven't always agreed with everything he's said or done, but I doubt anyone could argue very well that he didn't always have the best interests of his province, and now Canada at heart. I could be wrong, but he never came across to me as a guy using politics as a stepping stone to lining his pockets.
