Crystal Reports is a double-edged sword. While it is powerful and certainly better than VFP's native report writer I don't know of anyone who uses the word "easy" in reference to it. In addition it has poor documentation and a steep learning curve. Finally, it does not support remote VFP views.

I haven't tried any other 3rd party report tools out there, so I don't know how they compare, but I do know the using CR was not a pleasurable experience.
