blank field exce PrimaryKey

The limitation with the primary key (which you must have if you go C/S) is that you can't have two identical values, therefore just blank the rest of the fields and keep that one. You can then locate for any other field which must not be blank in a normal record; if you find it, it's recyclable; if you can't, you should add a new record. You could do the same in 2.6, just there wasn't a mandatory primary key.
