I would not put them on the pages. I have a similar thing where the actual pages are empty. The ActiveX controls are placed directly on the form and are hidden or shown when the pages change. This works a lot better *and* depending on the task, you could even think of using only one control that represents the different views or data. This of course depends on loading-time but makes the form a lot more lightweight.
Normally, You do not see the difference wether the controls are *on* or *in* the pageframe. In the following form both Pageframes actually are empty
