To add a bit, you should make you have extra whitespace on the form as well. Fingertouches are nowhere near as accurate in position as mouse clicks. There are also possible parallax issues which are helped by whitespace between touchable (clickable) things.

Things like drag/drop, rightclick, doubleclick and long-lived mousedown are pretty impractical. So you are pretty much confined to using only click.
