I didn't say that it's to big and I explained why VFP thinks that second page is requried.

I'm simply trying to understand (and solve) why one memofield that is about 2 inches long (even when stretched) prints on 2 pages (with the second page being blank). In my quest to solve this, I removed all other fields on the page except for the memofield and played around with the report designer. When the length of the detail band is greater than 5" (even 5.5" which isn't too big), it overflows to the second blank page.
