One of our dilemmas or problems if you will is to accommodate everyone. At one time it was acceptable for people with specific titles to be called things like:

1. Postman or Mailman

2. Congressman

Well the list goes on.

I propose we attempt to recognize as many gender and legally defined types of persons as possible. So the list above now becomes:

1. Postman, Postwoman, Postperson, Posthomosexual, Postlesbian, Posttransvestite, Posthandicapped. Mailman, Mailwoman, Mailperson, Mailhomosexual, Maillesbian, Mailtransvestite, Mailhandicapped.


2. Congressman, Congresswoman, Congressperson, Congresshomosexual, Congresslesbian, Congresstransvestite, Congresshandicapped.

Now mailman is especially offensive. Some people actually thing that there is reference to two male words – male (mail) and man. Wow is me. I find it hard to please everyone. Oh for a simpler day – like yesterday! :)
