Good point. Seems lots of peoples wanna claim 'em perhaps thinking it gives them a "we were here first" leaverage in asserting their idealologies. But again, the Deism influnce is certainly not unfounded or only claimed by deism.org. And yeah, Franklin! What a character. He was a member in the "Hellfire Club" an intellectual organization that scorned and opposed organized and established religions, including Christianity. Wonder what kind of political water that would put him nowadays. ;) And he liked French women. (Me too Ben.)
