By it's nature, .Net is language independent....VB, C#, Cobol, etc all implement the CLR in their own way and compile down to the same IL. LINQ is implemented in .Net assemblies...thus your language only needs to implement this.

The ideas of how to mix data and language comes directly from Fox. LINQ has taken this idea and expanded on it.
