Then you are hearing the roar of lawnmowers all weekend. Further out in the country, it's ATVs. The city can actually be quieter.

>I actually spent time living in a large city and I enjoyed the convenience but I have to admit that noise does bother me. Even after years in the military sleeping on an airfield and beside a tank trail I still wake up at the slightest noise. There is nothing like relaxing outside in the early evening with nothing but the sounds of the birds and the smell of fresh cut grass. It is very soothing.
