>I'm gonna have to disagree somewhat. While Developer/2000 may be a nice tool, Oracle as a corporation, IMO, is a major stumbling block. I see them making the same mistakes Novell made when Ray Noorda was CEO there. My prediction is that if Larry Ellison continues battling against Microsoft the way he is, the same thing will happen to Oracle that happened to Novell...huge loss of market share as people leave your product enmass.

Craig, you have a good point about Larry Ellison. I was on the Beta team and was a trainer when Oracle Power Objects was introduced as the Win95 front end in Developer/2000. Just as we were getting a good product going, Ellison got a bee in his bonnet about "Network Computers" and suddenly OPO was history. Promised updates weren't released and Oracle users who had been courted and who were seriously interested dropped out like flies. The man is a total flake, and he runs his company with total control.
Of course Borland's history is shaky too, even after dismissing Philippe Kahn. I think that scares many corporations away from Delphi.
