As I already immediately pointed out: NO. In Holland there is no pledge whatsoever on schools. On arrival, you just go to the classroom and sit down on your chair, that's it. Also, the public schools don't have religeous symbols on the walls. However, public schools do give lectures about religions. The government wants these children to have at least a basic knowledge about a number of religions.

In private, religeous schools it is different, of course.
