My daughter lost two friends last year due to ATV accidents not far from our house. We don't hear as many as we used to though they occasional are out in our area since we are pretty much rural. NC has passed new laws on the use of ATVs and after the deaths, use has died down but there are still many ATV enthusiasts. Surpisingly the sound of the mowers doesn't bother me but the sound of my neighbor's 18 wheeler pulling out early in the morning does!

>Then you are hearing the roar of lawnmowers all weekend. Further out in the country, it's ATVs. The city can actually be quieter.

>>I actually spent time living in a large city and I enjoyed the convenience but I have to admit that noise does bother me. Even after years in the military sleeping on an airfield and beside a tank trail I still wake up at the slightest noise. There is nothing like relaxing outside in the early evening with nothing but the sounds of the birds and the smell of fresh cut grass. It is very soothing.

>>>Yes. Distance to office and to children high-scholl is less than 500m.
>>>I walk every morning to work.
>>>But it is noisy. There is alwas noise from passing vehicles, from TV or some music. May be we become old and look for quiet and unstress live :-)
