I think it wld be worted making it at least multilanguage if nothing else.
Especialy that is not all that dificult. Europe market is big :)

However, most of restaurants here are not all that interested in having to sofisticated systems. Most of them still use plain cash registers, hiding receipts (hint taxes) and that sort of things...

In Germany must be different situation as everything is as I heard
pretty well regulated / controled.

But in anyway, making sort of downsized (Pos-Express :) version might be just good thing to do - from marketing standpoint.
