In addition to the 'Refresh' code which has been mentioned, try using THISFORM.PAGEFRAME1.CONTAINER1.GRID1.SETFOCUS I have found it is not necessary to include the column/control information.

It also contains an INSERT-SQL command followed by THISFORM.PAGEFRAME1.CONTAINER1.GRID1.COLUMN1.TEXT1.SETFOCUS and a command to set the backgound color of the grid's TextBox. It inserts a new record but the grid doesn't display that it has focus unless I physically click in the text/column. The set focus command works fine with the "mouseclickat-appendblank-setfocus" process used with the option group. The set focus command sequence is identical. Does Insert-SQL cause this difference? I've been advised that insert-sql is preferable to append blank & replace. Any thoughts?
