I know that we don't have one in Ireland and i think that if someone tried to bring it in there would be uproar. i believe, as do most Irish people i think, that the level of ones allegiance is a personal thing and should not be forced upon anyone, especially children, by the state or any organisation.

>>Alex you tell me exactly where in the constitution does it say to remove God from the pledge. And if you give me the pat answer of "separation of Church and State", then you had better look deep and hard at what that phrase was refering to.

>Tell me where in the Constitution it says we should have a Pledge of Allegiance. One of my kids pointed out to me how absurd it is to pledge one's allegiance to a flag. Listen to the words.

>Hey, folks in other countries, does anybody else have anything like this?
