What a story!

There was a case in Oakland, California that I recall. A man stole a loaf of bread and was shot dead by a policeman outside of the store. The man had lost his job and he had a family. The man had no criminal background and no weapon. The policeman did not tell him to stop - he just shot after the store owner ran out and yelled, "Stop. Thief"!

The law can make mistakes and sometimes those mistakes are lethal.
