Lets say you've done this...

replace mytable.myfield with 5/0

...now if you do this...

? mytable.myfield

...you will see all *'s.

How can I test to see if that has happend? Its not null, its >0, vartype will be the same...is there like a isinfinty test or somethin in VFP?
