If you're not using a private datasession, then you've closed the file before the form has run. 2 possibilites:

1) You've issued a "close" somewhere
2) You've opened another file, after the file in question was opened, and didn't specify "in 0" so it opened in the same workarea. This will automatically close the file you want.

>I am in the default datasession and vfp doesn't know about yjis alais. I even put a set datasession to 1 right before the code and vfp still doesn't know about the alias "rac". The code for for my main startup is in a prg file and the code that selects the alias is in a program file. I do open a form that has a progreesbar on it but that forms datasession is set to 1 also. What more can I do?????
