I'll see if I can find time to test it both ways on my PC. This is important to me as we are moving from VFP 6 TO VFP 9 ourselves. Just lost my hard drive last weekend so I'm in the middle of a big software reload. Hope to have an answer by the weekend.

> Thanks for the answer. Winfax works fine from the WinFax Manager on the desktop. OS is the same(XP Pro). If I run a compile in VFP6 code works fine. Then if I compile same code in VFP9 - fax hangs. I compiled in 8 and it worked fine. Temp solution. Could this be a bug in 9?
